Arts Audiences has published a number of documents in the area of audiences and audience development, which will be of great interest to those seeking to find new ways to better connect with audiences.

New Media Mentoring Scheme:

In this scheme the experts from a variety of organisations offered their time, for free, to mentor arts organisations seeking to build relationships with new and existing audiences online. Mentees wrote reports in order to make to make learning outcomes available to the wider arts community.

  • John Tierney of Google Ireland mentored Conor Malone, General Manager of Balor Arts Centre – in his report, Conor lists 10 important points on using AdWords to better connect with audiences (click here)
  • A team from Google Ireland mentored Tara Connaghan Artistic Director of Éigse Carlow Arts Festival – Tara’s report outlines provides a great over sight of Google Ads and Google Analytics (click here)
  • A team from Google Ireland mentored Michelle Dillon, Marketing Officer of The Dock – Michelle’s report looks at getting the balance right in terms of time and resources spent on website and on social media platforms (click here)
  • A team from Google Ireland mentored Derek Kelly, Box Office Manager of The Gate Theatre – Derek explains how the mentoring he recevied led to a 16% increase in traffic to The Gate’s website (click here)
  • Aoife Flynn of asquared mentored Rayne Booth of Temple Bar Gallery & Studios as to the best way to develop a brief for a website (click here)
  • Lucy Campbell and Muire Laffan of RTÉ Publishing mentored Emmet Sheerin and Anne O’Gorman from NYCI as they re-evaluated their web strategy (click here)
  • Aoife Flynn mentored Marcella Bannon of Droichead Arts Centre as she was developing a Digital Marketing Strategy for the Droichead (click here)
